You can wax the car and gain 12 horsepower. Can you even feel 12 horsepower? I personally would run one of the smaller tapered intake runner intakes like the EdelbrockSP-2P, or Holley Street Dominator, and pick up a little oomph on the lower end.

Maybe even get a little better mileage to boot.

It's street driven only anymore so I am not worried about off road carb mannerisms. I want to keep the so going up in engine size isn't on the plate. Excessive intake heat leans a carburetor out excessive cold it never comes off a choked condition, both louse up driveability. A lot of them are in use.
